Congratulations on taking the first step toward homeownership!
When prospective buyers and I are considering working together, I like to meet with them in person for a meet-and-greet, perhaps tour a home or two together, and chat about their home goals so I know how to best help, and also make sure we’re a good fit before we commit to working together. During that time, I also encourage prospective clients to research me by reading my Zillow and Google Business reviews to gain a sense of who I am, how I work, and to take a look at my previous home sales and experience as well.
When you work with me — a trusted and experienced Realtor — as your buyer broker, I will:
Help you search for (online) and tour homes in person that fit your needs, wants, and budget; I tell my clients to call me anytime with questions or requests to tour homes;
Connect you with a reputable lender who can partner with me to ensure you feel educated and confident in your loan and financing options;
Discuss considerations such as a prospective home’s pros and cons, the inspection report, and my target-price opinion , as well as things to keep in mind for the future, such as potential repairs, improvements, and other long-term concerns;
Represent you when it is time to submit an offer;
Negotiate with the listing agent and sellers on your behalf, with your best interests in mind and at heart;
Guide you throughout the entire closing process, collaborating with your title officer, escrow team and lender — and addressing any of your questions or concerns along the way;
Help with all resources you will need at your new home;
Receive compensation for my expertise and work only when the common goal of finding and then closing on your new home is achieved.
When we work together, we will discuss the resources in the links above, and I welcome questions and concerns. No question or concern is trivial. I’m a big advocate of education and information sharing.
Why hire a Realtor?
This will be one of the largest financial and emotional decisions of your life. It behooves you to choose a real estate broker to represent your best interests who is also a Realtor (not all brokers are Realtors and Realtors have a higher level of education and are held to a higher standard) from a well-respected brokerage who is well-versed in our competitive and nuanced greater Seattle housing market. I invite you to learn more about my highly regarded independent brokerage, Lake and Company Real Estate, located on the shores of Seattle’s iconic Green Lake.
Who you hire as your buyer broker can mean the difference between winning or losing out on your dream home in a competitive multiple-offer situation. Skill, reputation, and a handful of other key factors (I will share more details with you when we meet) help inform and determine whether the listing agent and seller will accept our offer on your behalf.
Savvy buyers know the value and importance of having one trusted guide during the entire home-purchase process.
Call, email, or text me todayso we can discuss your home-buying goals and dreams. If we determine we're a good fit to continue working together, I’ll set up your online client portal in the MLS and begin searching for homes for you right away.
